It’s Challenge Cup final week as Hull KR prepare to take on Warrington Wolves at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon. That’s the biggest game in the sport of rugby league this weekend and eyes will be on the national stadium as the two sides go head to head for the first major trophy of the year.
That’s not the only game being played this week, though, with two more finals being played at Wembley and a full list of NRL action for fans to get their teeth stuck into. Sky Sports will be showing three of those fixtures from down under, while subscription based Watch NRL is the destination for the other five matches.
Here’s all the information you need to watch all the rugby league this week.
Thursday June 5
With Super League taking a break, the only Thursday game comes from the NRL as Newcastle Knights face off against Manly Sea Eagles. That one is on Watch NRL.
Friday June 6
Again, there’s no action from the UK on Friday, with the Northern Hemisphere being completely focused on events at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. As such Watch NRL is the destination once again as Melbourne Storm host North Queensland Cowboys and Dolphins take on St George Illawarra Dragons.
Saturday June 7
UK audiences could find themselves settling in for a rugby league marathon on Saturday on what promises to be another memorable day for the sport with three finals to be played at Wembley. The weekend gets underway on Sky Sports Main Event and Mix as Cronulla Sharks face New Zealand Warriors at Shark Park. Brisbane Broncos play a Queensland derby immediately after against Gold Coast Titans and that’s on Sky Sports Mix, too.
After that it’s all eyes on Wembley as Wigan Warriors and St Helens go head to head in the women’s Challenge Cup final at 11.45am. That’s on BBC Two before eyes turn to the main event as Hull KR and Warrington Wolves battle it out on BBC One for the right to win the first piece of silverware on offer this year.
The 1895 Cup final will be played immediately after that game with Featherstone Rovers facing York Knights and that is set to be shown live on the Super League + streaming site.
Sunday June 8
It’s back to the NRL for Sunday’s action with Canberra Raiders looking to go top when they play South Sydney Rabbitohs on Watch NRL. Sky Sports subscribers will be able to watch the NRL’s second Sunday offering though as Wests Tigers face Penrith Panthers.
Monday June 9
Canterbury Bulldogs face Parramatta Eels in a rare Monday clash with the King’s Birthday being a public holiday in New South Wales. That’s on Watch NRL.
