We’ve finally made it through the rugby league off-season with Super League set to begin and here are the details on how to watch it.
Rugby League fans in the UK are blessed again with Sky Sports broadcasting every single game of both the regular season and the play-offs, starting on Thursday night and running right through until the Grand Final in October.
The BBC will have their share of games too meaning that there is plenty to watch on free-to-air TV whilst streaming platform Super League+ will broadcast four games a week live and offer catch-up services for every match.
As for the NRL, Sky Sports have got you covered there as well meaning that there’s a boatload of rugby league to watch in 2025 and it all officially starts this week with the launch of the Super League season.
Holders Wigan will host Leigh Leopards with over 20,000 tickets sold already but for those not in attendance, here are the details on how to watch rugby league on TV this week.
How to watch rugby league on TV as Super League season starts
Of course, the Super League season starts on Thursday with Wigan’s game against Leigh set for Sky Sports Action that night but fans can get an early morning taster with Canberra Raiders against Cronulla Sharks on both Sky Sports Main Event and Action, as well as Watch NRL – where every NRL game is broadcast.
Friday morning sees those same three channels air Newcastle Knights versus Parramatta Eels and North Queensland versus The Dolphins before the Super League action begins in the evening.
Hull KR take on Castleford Tigers on Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports+ with Catalans versus Hull FC also on Sky Sports+ and Super League+.
Saturday morning sees a full slate of NRL from 2:30 am through 11 am before Leeds Rhinos host Wakefield Trinity on Sky Sports+ and Super League Plus before St Helens host Salford on both of those, as well as BBC Two.
Sunday’s action sees three NRL games from 4:30 am before the battle of the Burgess brothers at 3:00 pm on Sky Sports+ and Super League+, the channels that most matches will be aired on in 2025.
