How to watch Rugby League on TV this week with Leigh Leopards on BBC and NRL action

Super League coverage

The Super League season started last weekend meaning rugby league is officially back. Here’s how and where to watch it this week.

A total of 13 games will be available to watch this week with six Super League matches on offer and seven NRL pre-season games on show too meaning rugby league fans have plenty to watch.

Every NRL game this season will be aired on Watch NRL meaning they can be watched there but they’re also all on Sky Sports as well.

Meanwhile Super League+ will show four of the six Super League games live and the BBC will cover one too meaning every fan will have access this week.

After an explosive Round One of Super League that saw records tumble, dramatic endings and one farcical blowout, there is plenty to get your teeth stuck into in Round Two.

We’ve listed every rugby league  game available to watch on TV including when and on what channel.

Every rugby league game on TV this week

Thursday 20th February

There is just one game on Thursday but it is one of the more interesting Super League clashes as Hull KR travel to face Wakefield Trinity, who are hosting their first game since earning promotion back to Super League.

Wakefield beat Leeds Rhinos at the weekend whilst Hull KR limped past Castleford in golden point, setting up for a great game on Sky Sports Action. Hull KR have confirmed an unchanged squad for that one whilst Wakefield have made just three changes.

Friday 21st February

Friday kicks off with two NRL pre-season games including Las Vegas-bound Manly Sea Eagles and Penrith Panthers but the real action starts that night as surprise Round One winners Hull FC host Wigan Warriors.

Matt Peet’s side will look to bounce back from their historic 1-0 loss on Sky Sports+ whilst Warrington Wolves host Catalans on Sky Sports Action.

Saturday 22nd February

Saturday sees three NRL games with plenty of English talent on show, namely Lewis Dodd and Herbie Farnworth with the Bunnies facing St George and the Dolphins hosting the Bulldogs.

That afternoon’s Super League action sees Salford host Leeds with all eyes on what sort of squad they will name following their Round One disaster. As for St Helens, who beat them 82-0, they’ll travel to the Jungle to take on Castleford Tigers with both games on Sky Sports+ and Super League+.

Sunday 23rd February

The final two NRL games take place with Victor Radley’s Roosters going up against Kai Pearce-Paul’s Knights but Sunday’s afternoon fixture sees Leigh Leopards host Huddersfield Giants – live on BBC Two, Sky Sports+ and Super League +.
