How to watch Magic Weekend on TV including Wigan v St Helens and Leeds Rhinos v Warrington

Super League TV camera at Magic Weekend

Armchair fans can watch 480 minutes of top-flight rugby league action live over the next two days, without having to stand up to find the TV remote, as Super League’s showpiece event Magic Weekend takes place.

Betfred Super League’s entire Magic Weekend, at Leeds United’s Elland Road, will be shown live on one of Sky Sports’ main channels. The broadcaster switched most of its rugby league coverage to the red button service on the new Sky Sports+ from last week, but that’s not the case this weekend.

That means every game will be available on Sky Go and can be recorded, with a scheduled 30-minute build-up to kick-off. None of the Magic Weekend fixtures will be shown live in the UK by the BBC or the competition’s one streaming service SuperLeague+.

Here’s how to watch all six Magic Weekend matches.

Saturday, August 17: Hull FC v London Broncos (2.30 pm kick-off), Sky Sports Action from 2 pm; Wigan Warriors v St Helens (5 pm), Sky Sports Action, from 4.30 pm; Warrington Wolves v Leeds Rhinos (7.30 pm), Sky Sports Action, from 7 pm.

Sunday, August 18: Leigh Leopards v Salford Red Devils (1.30 pm), Sky Sports Action, from 1 pm; Catalans Dragons v Hull KR (4 pm), Sky Sports Action, from 3.30; Huddersfield Giants v Castleford Tigers (6.30 pm), Sky Sports Action, from 6 pm.

This year’s event will be the 17th time that Magic Weekend has been held with Elland Road marking the sixth different venue across the years. Previously Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle have hosted Super League’s two-day showpiece but it has shifted to Elland Road for the 2024 campaign,

Recently Rugby League Commercial’s Chief Rhodri Jones confirmed to Love Rugby League that the event will continue in 2025 but at as yet an undetermined location.
