How to watch Challenge Cup semi-final draw as details confirmed

The Challenge Cup quarter-finals take place this weekend but the details for the semi-finals draw have now been confirmed.

Four matches take place over Friday, Saturday and Sunday including the first meeting between Hull FC and Hull KR in the Challenge Cup since 1986.

That game looks set to be even more special given the form that both teams carry into the game with Hull KR still yet to lose this season whereas the Black and Whites have lost just once.

As such, they both sit first and second in Super League and look set to draw in big TV viewing figures on Saturday when they face off on BBC One.

The three other games pit Wakefield Trinity versus Leigh Leopards, Catalans Dragons host Salford Red Devils, whilst St Helens travel to face Warrington Wolves.

The winners will progress to the semi-finals and find themselves just 80 minutes from Wembley and details of when that semi-final draw will be conducted have now been confirmed.

Challenge Cup semi-finals draw details confirmed

It has been announced by the RFL that the draw for the semi-finals will be held at half time of Sunday’s game between Warrington Wolves and St Helens, with the match televised on BBC Two.

The teams face off for the second time in three weeks with Saints looking to avenge a narrow two-point defeat that they suffered at home in Round Five.

Sunday’s game kicks off at 2:30 pm meaning the draw will be conducted between 3:15 pm and 3:30 pm with ex-Wire man Kevin Brown joined by former England football international and massive Warrington Wolves fan Stuart Pearce conducting the draw.

By then, we will know three of the four semi-finalists and could even have a strong indication of who the fourth may be depending on how the clash between Wire and Saints is going.

The semi-finals will be held on the 10th and 11th of May with the final held at Wembley a month later on June 7th.

Warrington are bidding to return to Wembley after losing out to Wigan Warriors last year with the holders knocked out earlier on by John Cartwright’s Hull FC.
