Super League returns this week as Warrington Wolves host Leeds Rhinos in the very first game on Thursday night in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
Thus, this is the week where every one throws about their wild predictions for the new season.
But what are the bookmakers saying about the 2023 Super League season?
Unsurprisingly, reigning Champions St Helens are overwhelming favourites to make it a fifth Grand Final win in a row. They are also favourites to claim the League Leaders’ Shield.
Unsurprisingly, Wigan Warriors are second favourites whilst last year’s Grand Finalists Leeds Rhinos are third favourites despite the fact some believe Rohan Smith’s redevelopment will take them a step back before moving forward.
However, given no other side has won the Grand Final since 2005, these three being the favourites makes sense.
Warrington Wolves, despite a difficult 2022, are fourth favourites.
Meanwhile, the other semi-finalist from 2022 have been written off in the shape of Salford Red Devils who are joint ninth favourites to win the Grand Final.
Only Leigh Leopards and Wakefield Trinity are longer odds to win the Grand Final.
Speaking of these two, Trinity are the favourites to finish bottom.
100/1 to finish top or win the Grand Final, they are 2/1 to finish bottom on SkyBet.
Here is what the Super League table will look like according to the bookmakers:
1 St Helens – Grand Final: 15/8 League Leaders: 9/4
2 Wigan Warriors – Grand Final: 4/1 League Leaders: 7/2
