How many NRL signings each Super League side has made in 2023

Super League sides often turn to NRL stars to add further quality to their squads going into the new season.

In 2023, only Castleford Tigers, Leigh Leopards, Salford Red Devils and Wigan Warriors have not signed from the NRL.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR have made three NRL signings each. Warrington Wolves, Wakefield Trinity, Catalans Dragons and Hull FC have made two each and Leeds Rhinos and St Helens have made one signing each.

We have ranked every club by the number of NRL signings they have made for the new year:

In total there are 16 NRL players headed to Super League in 2023 with six going the other way.

But here are all 16 NRL players coming to the Super League and a brief summary.

Kevin Naiqama: Sydney Roosters – Huddersfield Giants
The Giants have totally new centres after Ricky Leutele and Jake Wardle left. They have 2021 Harry Sunderland Award winner and three-time Super League Champion Kevin Naiqama coming to the club as he returns to Super League.

Harry Rushton: Canberra Raiders – Huddersfield Giants
After learning his trade in Canberra, the former Wigan youngster is the third Huddersfield signing from the NRL for 2023.

Tex Hoy: Newcastle Knights – Hull FC
Hull FC’s new fullback to fill the shoes of Jake Connor. He can also play in the halves which we may see in Round One with Jake Trueman injured.

Jake Clifford: Newcastle Knights – Hull FC
He will be joined by his former Newcastle Knights teammate Jake Clifford. Clifford is a great organising halfback.

Tom Opacic: Parramatta Eels – Hull KR
On the other side of Hull, centre Tom Opacic joins the Robins giving them two top centres as he joins Shaun Kenny-Dowall in the role.

Rhys Kennedy: Brisbane Broncos – Hull KR
Arriving from Brisbane Broncos is forward Rhys Kennedy. He, alongside others, adds depth to a growing Hull KR pack.

Sauaso Sue: Newcastle Knights – Hull KR
As does Sue who joins the Robins in 2023 making them, alongside Huddersfield, the team to do the most business down under.

Sam Lisone: Gold Coast Titants – Leeds Rhinos
Leeds have only made one signing from the NRL in the shape of powerful prop Sam Lisone who followed friend David Fusitu’a to the Rhinos.

Wesley Bruines: South Sydney Rabbitohs – St Helens
An Englishman returning to the country, after spending time with the Rabbitohs in 2023, Brunies joins Champions St Helens.

Kevin Proctor: Gold Coast Titans – Wakefield Trinity
A former NRL winner with Melbourne Storm and a New Zealand international, he joins Wakefield for 2023 after being sacked by Gold Coast for a vaping incident.

Renouf Atoni: Sydney Roosters – Wakefield Trinity
He is not the only NRL signing headed to Belle Vue. Former Sydney and Canterbury prop Atoni follows him to West Yorkshire.

Paul Vaughan: Canterbury Bulldogs – Warrington Wolves
Speaking of former Canterbury forwards, former Australian international Paul Vaughan is part of Daryl Powell’s new look pack at the Halliwell Jones.

Josh McGuire: St George Illawarra Dragons – Warrington Wolves
He will be joined by 2017 World Cup winner Josh McGuire. The two give Warrington plenty of experience.
