How Leeds Rhinos fans can watch four stars of the future and one star of the past this afternoon

If you’re stuck for something to do this afternoon, you can tune in to watch Cornwall RLFC host Rochdale in their second ever home game.

Cornwall are making some real positive waves already despite being the new club on the block. For the second home game in a row, they’ve been able to sell out the seating portion of the ground and are also set to give debuts to four new signings.

The quartet are Leeds loanees Joe Hird, Joe Gibbons, Oli Field and Mackenzie Turner. The lively Turner will feature on the wing, whilst Joe Hird starts at prop and will joined by two Leeds Rhinos teammates in the pack.

Joe Gibbons – son of former Leeds player David Gibbons – is in the backrow with Oli Field at loose-forward. Field is also a son of a former rugby league player in the shape of Jamie Field and is highly thought of at Leeds being given the number 31 shirt this season and being included in Leeds’ 21-man squad for the game against Hull KR on Friday.

They’ll also be joined by a former Leeds academy man in Liam Whitton who starts at fullback as well as a former Grand Final winner with the Rhinos in the form of Anthony Mullally who joins Hird in the frontrow.

The game will be shown live on the OurLeague app for free so any Leeds fans who want to see four stars of the future and a star of the past play today can.

Kick-off is at 1pm and the link is available here.
