Rugby league is a tough sport; everyone knows that.
But, just sometimes an injury occurs that makes you sit back, take note and then feel a little queasy.
That is exactly what social media was faced with when Leigh’s Ryan Brierley sustained an eye injury that, to put it bluntly, looked appalling.
Leigh went down 48-18 to Leeds last night, but Brierley went off in the second-half, with an overnight hospital procedure necessary to close his wound.
