Premier Sports ushered in a new era last night as Featherstone Rovers overcame a stubborn York City Knights side, 30-12.
The new host Emma Jones appeared vibrant, asking new pundits Kevin Brown and Leon Pryce insightful and straight-to-the-point questions whilst St Helens Women’s Jodie Cunningham added another dimension to the line-up.
Commentator Mark Wilson demonstrated just why he is so highly-rated with a smooth and passionate analysis of the game, though pundit Ross Fiddes did find himself on the receiving end of some cracking Brian McDermott comments.
All in all, it was a tremendous success with the views of two recently-retired players offering a great deal to viewers – and the viewers certainly agreed.
Twitter users found the new set-up exciting, with a great number voicing their support on the social media page.
One person summed it up well: “Premier Sports commentary team are really good.”
