Hodgson waiting on fitness of trio

Hull FC Head Coach Brett Hodgson has confirmed Josh Reynolds, Marc Sneyd and Ligi Sao will all have scans this week to determine the severity of their injuries.

All three players failed to finish their 35-4 win over Salford Red Devils on Saturday, but Hodgson is optimistic they are only short-term injuries.

He said: Ligi had a high ankle strain. At a pinch, we could have brought him back on, but we felt it best just to leave it and make sure he was OK going forward.

“Josh Reynolds had a low-grade hamstring. Not sure on the extent of that, but we will get both of them scanned.

“Marc Sneyd was the dead leg he picked up last week, he got a knock on it and just couldn’t run it off. We felt it was best to take him off and not risk him in the last 20 minutes.

“We won’t know for sure (if they are short term) until we get some scans done, and we get a clearer idea.”
