Hirst joins Batley for third time

Veteran forward Keegan Hirst has signed for Batley for the third time following his release from Halifax.

The 32-year-old first joined for his hometown club in 2012 from Dewsbury, before signing for Featherstone in 2014.

He then returned to Batley later that year, before spending three seasons with Wakefield in Super League.

He leaves Halifax having played four games for them in the Championship before the season was voided due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2016, he was captain of the Bulldogs side that finished third in the Championship, which saw them compete for promotion in the Super 8s.
