Hill testimonial match announced

Warrington Wolves have announced a friendly against Leigh Centurions to mark Chris Hill’s testimonial on 18th March (kick off 7pm).

The Warrington, England and Great Britain forward has been awarded a Testimonial year in 2021 after making over 270 appearances for the Wolves, starting with the fixture against the Centurions which is to be played behind closed doors.

Despite fans not being able to attend, supporters will still be able to catch the first glimpse of new recruits in Primrose and Blue for the first time with the game being streamed live on Facebook and OurLeague.

Commenting on the fixture, Hill said: “To have a Testimonial game, featuring the two Clubs who have played such important roles in my career, is something I’m really proud of.

“It’s a great feeling to have played for Warrington for a decade and this will be a great opportunity to celebrate the milestone with my teammates, coaches and family who have all supported me along the way.

“I’m gutted the fans won’t be there with a packed out HJ for the occasion, but I know they’ll be supporting from home – they might even get a first glimpse of Greg Inglis in a Wire shirt.”
