High-profile Wigan Warriors star Bevan French reportedly ‘in limbo’ as clubs circle

TRY Bevan French (6) of Wigan Warriors goes over for a try to make the score 6 - 12

Clubs are said to be circling Wigan Warriors star Bevan French after he was reportedly left ‘in limbo’ having returned to Australia.

French, 25, flew back to Australia towards the back end of the 2021 Super League season in order to be with his ill mother, but has repeatedly confirmed his aspirations to return to Wigan and fulfil his contract.

But, the World Wide of Sports has revealed that the strike player feels he needs to be with his family at such a tough time and is such ‘in limbo’.

French had a frustrating year in 2021 with Wigan, with the 25-year-old suffering a hamstring injury that ended up ruining his season before he could get going.

That being said, the livewire star has still scored 26 tries in 35 games for the Warriors and is being widely tipped to be the top try scorer in 2022 as well as fighting for a Super League Dream Team spot.

The World Wide of Sports’ The Mole, though, has revealed that a number of NRL clubs want to sign the former Parramatta Eels flier, including his old side.

French scored 35 tries in 47 appearances for Parramatta between 2016 and 2019, but left midway through 2019 to take up a deal with the Warriors in Super League.
