“He’s quicker than Bevan and he’s more skilful” – Super League star earns high praise from coach

Jai Field could be set for a return to the rugby league field in time for the play-offs, Wigan Today has reported.

With the utility back well on with his rehabilitation, the time has been set for four weeks and Wigan head coach Adrian Lam cannot wait to see him back in action.

“I think Jai has the potential to do things Bevan does,” Lam said.

“He’s quicker than Bevan and he’s more skilful than Bevan, he’s more of a halfback – all of that fits well with us.

“The tricky part is he won’t have played for five months.

“It’s going to take him six weeks to get to his best, so we have to manage that process and make sure we don’t reinjure his hamstring, and hopefully he finds his form quickly.”

Lam never saw Brian Bevan so how can he comment. There will only be one Bevan and that’s BRIAN. I saw him met him and photographed him so I can comment
