Hastings banned for Leeds clash

Jackson Hastings is one of four players that have been given bans by the match review panel this week, meaning he will miss Salford’s important clash with the Leeds Rhinos next weekend.

Hastings was penalised heavily for a high shot and sent from the field during his sides victory against Toronto Wolfpack. He has now received a two match ban for the incident.

The Australian half-back has proved pivotal for the Red Devils in their Middle 8’s campaign, where they now sit comfortably at the top of the table with 4 wins from 4 games, but their safety is not yet confirm and with Hastings out for two matches, the tide could quickly turn.

Luke Burgess will also miss the game against Leeds with his punishment only a one match ban.

Only two other bans were given out and include a player each from Wigan and Warrington, who are set to go head to head at the DW this Friday. Joe Greenwood and Mike Cooper will both miss the game for their respective sides with both receiving a one match penalty notice.
