Has this Super League club brought in two NRL stars for 2024?

It seems one Super League club has brought in two NRL stars for 2024.

NRL stars in the last year of their contract can be signed from November onwards so they were available since the end of last year and it would appear one Super League side has pounced on this.

Plenty of Super League teams have been working hard to tie down some of their top stars for 2024 and beyond already.

This week, Hull KR tied down forward Dean Hadley until 2025 and the big news this week was Warrington Wolves signing George Williams on an extension until 2026 and Paul Vaughan on a deal until 2025.

Salford Red Devils have arguably been the best at this signing many of their stars on huge contracts for 2024 and beyond including a huge eight year deal for reigning Man of Steel Brodie Croft.

However, the Red Devils are also seemingly the first to tie down some signings for 2024.

Most of this business will wait until after May which is when Super League clubs have to tell their players about whether they intend on offering them an extension meaning negotiations take place after May.

This would maybe suggest that Salford’s two new signings, which were revealed on Sky Sports last night, come from the NRL.

It was Jon Wells, stepping in for Jenna Brooks on maternity leave, who delivered the news on Sky tonight saying: “Salford have two signings in the back for 2024 but the names are not forthcoming just yet.”

If these players are from down under, it is unclear who they are and where from.
