Leeds Rhinos are going to have to do it tough in the second half against St Helens.
They might have been winning 12-4 at the interval but the game is poised for a Saints comeback.
Why? Because the Rhinos are down to 14 men.
They lost halfback Aidan Sezer very early in the piece before Harry Newman and Morgan Gannon were both helped from the field within minutes of one another.
It is now being reported by Sky Sports that Newman has suffered a hamstring.
In 2022, Newman picked up three hamstring tears. The first in pre-season against Hull FC, the second in his come back game against Wakefield Trinity and then a season ender against Hull KR.
Leeds were careful with Newman’s integration back into the side in 2023 but for all that work the Rhinos star has now suffered another hamstring injury according to Sky Sports.
Meanwhile, Morgan Gannon has been spotted in a protective boot on the sidelines by the Sky Sports camera.
Aidan Sezer is also off with what is believed to be a groin injury.
The threat of the Saints comeback with so many players injured as already begun to materialise with a try from Curtis Sironen.
