Harry Newman awarded yellow card as Leeds’ frustrations boil over

The Rhinos no doubt feel hard done by.

They led 8-6 early in the game but missed chances to go further ahead through Nene MacDonald and Harry Newman.

Then the Dragons took a 10-8 lead in what was a terrific game.

But then Catalans added to their lead with a try through Mitchell Pearce. However, Leeds fans and players alike felt it was a double movement from the Dragons halfback who appeared to have been stopped short of the line.

Their frustrations were exacerbated when a Zane Tetevano try was disallowed for a forward pass and things only got worse.

The Dragons took a 22-8 lead into the break when they gave away a six again to set their defence and try and force a goal line drop out but as Rhyse Martin was swarmed he tried to offload and the French side scored.

Six agains were infuriating Leeds at the start of the second half or the lack there of as the Dragons slowed down their ruck.

So when Harry Newman was penalised for interference in the ruck he wasn’t happy and let Liam Moore know and was subsequently penalised for dissent and sin binned.
