Halifax Panthers have signed Joe Arundel.
The centre joins the Panthers with plenty of Super League experience, making his name at his native Castleford Tigers before eventually moving onto Hull FC. Most recently, Arundel played over 100 games for Wakefield Trinity.
The 30 year old comes to Fax primarily as a centre but can also feature in the back-row, giving Halfiax head coach Simon Grix vital utility value as well as proven top level ability.
Joe Arundel was happy to get the deal over the line: “I knew from the first chat with Simon, the clear ambitions of the club going forward & that I wanted to be a part of that. We have an extremely talented group of players that can achieve success.”
“Joe has made the decision to pursue part time rugby and we are fortunate to have acquired his services”, said head coach Simon Grix.
“He is a big body and will prove a handful on the edge in both attack and defence. He debuted early so has been around a while, but at 30 has a while left in the game. His experience will prove invaluable to our younger outside backs.”
