Halifax make fourth re-signing for 2021

Halifax have announced that prop Elliot Morris has signed a new deal ahead of 2021.

The 24-year-old made his ‘Fax debut in 2016 having graduated through the club’s impressive reserve grade system and has since gone on to become one of the Championship’s top forwards, making a total of 83 appearances.

He becomes the fourth player to commit to the club for next season, after Brandon Moore, Shaun Robinson and Conor McGrath signed new deals over the weekend.

“I’m buzzing to be back on board again for another year,” Morris said. “I have full faith in Simon and I can’t wait to get back down to The Shay again.”

‘Fax boss Simon Grix added: “Elliot has made steady progress over his years at the club. He is a strong and somewhat awkward ball carrier and packs a punch in defence too.

“At 24, he is maturing and has his prime ahead of him. I look forward to pre season where we can put the work in to allow Elliot to kick on again.”
