Halifax announces new halfback partnership as five new signings get first-team shirts

Halifax Panthers head coach Simon Grix has confirmed his squad numbers ahead of the Betfred Championship season as eleven new faces join the ranks at The Shay Stadium.

Jamaican international James Woodburn-Hall takes the vacant number 1 shirt over from the recently retired but newly appointment assistant coach Scott Grix, allowing incoming centre Joe Arundel to claim number 4.

There’s a new pair in the 6 and 7 shirts this season, as recruits Cory Aston and Joe Keyes are awarded those shirts respectively, while fellow incoming halfback Louis Jouffret will wear 24 and new signing Titus Gwaze taking 21.

Captain Brandon Moore retains the number 9 shirt, with veteran hooker Kyle Wood taking 14 following his move from Wakefield Trinity.

Exciting finisher Lachlan Walmsley takes the number 2 shirt after a great year with Whitehaven.
