Greenberg working on location deal for 2021 NRL Grand Final

As many would know, Sydney’s ANZ Stadium will be out of commission during the 2020 and 2021 NRL seasons as the venue goes under reconstruction.

In 2020, the Sydney Cricket Ground is the confirmed location for the NRL Grand Final, however a location for the 2021 Grand Final is yet to be finalised.

Whilst their has been interested from other parties such as the Queensland and Western Australian Governments to move the Grand Final of 2021 to Brisbane or Perth, NRL CEO Todd Greenberg has revealed he’s been working closely with the NSW Government to finalise a deal that would see the Grand Final stay in Sydney.

Greenberg had this to say to NRL.com:

“… we’ve had some more dialogue with the NSW Government.”

“We’re quietly working through that behind the scenes and we’re hoping to wrap that up in a short space of time.”
