Yesterday, Hull KR revealed their new home shirt ahead of what could be a huge season for the Robins in 2022. The new kit marries the past with the future which is best resembled by the arrival of star signing Lachlan Coote who sported the new kit in the reveal video. His arrival is an unquestionable coup, but the new shirt has been questioned by one or two. In truth, the design has divided the fan base resulting in wide spread discussion on Twitter. So, today we’re asking the question, how did social media react to Hull KR’s new shirt?
Despite the reveal of the new shirt, one fan was far more excited about the player wearing it rather than the kit itself.
Great shirt
Great player
Cooooote

Meanwhile, rival fans couldn’t help but take the mick out of Hull KR’s new star player perhaps in fear of what he could achieve at Craven Park.

Turning our attention to the shirt itself, some fans absolutely loved it and couldn’t order it quick enough.
Love it 👌👏👏👏🔴⚪

Others were not happy with the design at all.
We had a unique design and you have turned it into a bad Salford or Wakefield shirt ….

One fan felt the new design was made all the worse by the new badge.
new shirt looks awful, so so disappointed, another season where i won't be buying one, i love the club so ill support in other ways but its just a terrible design, and i still hate the new badge

Meanwhile, some claimed it was the worst shirt in years.
Can’t believe this kit. Very poor, worst one in years and then you bang one on that’s too big for the boy… disappointed sadly.

Meanwhile, others questioned why they were set to wear a red shirt for a second consecutive season instead of alternating with a switch back to white. That simply added to the disappointment.
Also, two red shirts in a row? What’s happened to the white with red ‘breast’?
