To the shock of the rugby league world, yesterday Hull FC announced that two-time Lance Todd trophy winner Marc Sneyd was leaving the club after seven seasons to re-join Salford. The move caused quite a stir across social media but what was the general consensus from Salford and Hull fans?
It’s safe to say Salford supporters were extremely excited by the announcement with some fans expecting great success in 2022.

Although some were divided over whether or not they should adopt the scrum-half’s signature chant.
I get what you’re saying and for me don’t disagree but I know by 9 year old who loves him (Hull is his 2nd team) will be beyond excited to do it so maybe we need to not be miserable 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

As Salford fans enjoyed the announcement, rival supporters wanted to burst their bubble.

On the other side of things, plenty of Hull FC fans were ready to brand Sneyd as a club legend.

Club legend… Best not be Gale coming in as that is a massive step backwards and literally throwing Hodgson under the bus with that signing

As hinted at in the previous tweets, some believed that the move meant Luke Gale was destined to join the Black and Whites in 2022 much to the shock of Leeds fans.
Sneyd to Salford > Gale to Hull FC.. I’m actually in shock.

Most Hull FC supporters weren’t pleased by this either.
No he's not

Agree with him going we needed a change, but I don’t think Gale is the answer

But of course, Gale’s inevitable move was confirmed late last night completing the transfer merry-go-round.
