Gildart out of GB Lions tour

Wigan centre Oliver Gildart has been ruled out of the remainder of the Great Britain tour after suffering a dislocated shoulder.

The 23-year-old went off after around 60 minutes in the Lions’ 14-6 defeat to Tonga and will now miss the games with New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Great Britain have said there are no plans to replace him in the squad, meaning Hull utility Jake Connor will likely take his place in the starting 13.

Prop Luke Thompson also sustained a rib injury, but will remain as part of the squad.
