Galbraith has eight-match ban quashed

Rochdale Hornets centre Lewis Galbraith has had an eight-match ban for verbal abuse quashed on appeal.

Galbraith was handed the verbal abuse charge following the Hornets’ Summer Bash game against Oldham. The outside back was reported for an incident with the Roughyeds’ Sam Gee.

An eight-match ban followed which left the Hornets stunned and angry, leaving them with no other choice than to appeal the decision.

That suspension has now been overturned, with Galbraith only missing last weekend’s game against Swinton Lions.

He is available for selection this Sunday against London Broncos at the Crown Oil Arena.
