Full list of Man of Steel points from Round 1 revealed

After a pulsating opening round of fixtures in the Betfred Super League, the votes for the new Steve Prescott Man of Steel process have been counted and the results are in.

This season sees a new Man of Steel panel consisting of 21 former players and coaches, with one panel member assigned to a game each game and tasked with awarding points to the three outstanding performers.

The scores will be made public every week, until Round 22 in mid-July. After that, the poll will be hidden until the Awards Ceremony in October.

Mitch Garbutt, Niall Evalds, Stefan Ratchford, Alex Walker, James Roby and Liam Watts all earned three points this weekend after outstanding displays for their respective clubs.

These six players have subsequently gone top of the Man of Steel leaderboard after the opening round of action, with the full list of points scorers from Round 1 situated below.

3 Points: Mitch Garbutt, Niall Evalds, Stefan Ratchford, Alex Walker, James Roby & Liam Watts

2 Points: Josh Drinkwater, Ken Sio, Josh Charnley, Eddie Battye, Luke Thompson & Paul McShane

1 Point: James Greenwood, Izaac Farrell, Daryl Clark, Jordan Abdull, Liam Marshall & Kenny Edwards
