From Yorkshire rivals to Super XIII – Where every released Leeds Rhinos player has signed for 2025

Headingley Leeds Rhinos Super League

Leeds Rhinos have made some impressive signings ahead of 2025, but in doing so, were forced to let some key players leave.

Maika Sivo, Keenan Palasia and Cooper Jenkins are all new quota players, but without releasing some existing quota players, they would have been over the limit – so some key overseas options have been let go, alongside some young talent.

Where have all the released players ended up?

Rhyse Martin is surely the biggest loss for the Rhinos out of the released players, and he signed for Super League rivals Hull KR in a seriously impressive pick-up for the title challengers.

David Fusitu’a, whose time in Super League didn’t live up to expectations due to significant injuries, was, as expected, let go – and Ryan Hall will replace him in the squad on his return to the club.

He’s yet to find a new team to play for, as is the case for winger Luis Roberts, who departed after two seasons at Headingley Stadium.

Mickael Goudemand has headed to Albi Tigers in the French Super XIII for the rest of the 2024/25 season there, but will surely hope for a return to Super League before long.

A duo of released names has headed to the RFL Championship, with second-rower James Donaldson signing for Grade B side Bradford Bulls for the 2025 campaign.

One of his potential opponents is Corey Johnson, who will be lining up under former Castleford Tigers boss Craig Lingard’s Sheffield Eagles after signing a two-year deal at the Olympic Legacy Park Stadium.

Justin Sangare, however, remains in Super League having signed for Paul Rowley’s Salford Red Devils, after being a starter under both Brad Arthur and Rohan Smith in 2024.

Meanwhile, it’s a return to Castleford Tigers for Kieran Hudson, who re-signed at Wheldon Road after just one year with Leeds Rhinos – a time which was plagued by injury problems. Paul Momirovski has also been released but has not penned a new deal as of yet, while Leon Ruan secured a trial at Hull KR but hasn’t penned a deal.
