It seems that former Hull FC prop Franklin Pele’s next move is edging closer to being confirmed.
Pele made six NRL appearanes for Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs ahead of signing for Hull FC as a quota player for the 2024 season.
In his time with the Black and Whites, the 23-year-old made nine Super League appearances, but was sent off and suspended for three games after a nightmare debut against rivals Hull KR in Round One of the season.
Originally signing a two-year deal with FC, Pele, after a two-week loan with York Knights, he was released from his contract, and signed for Bradford Bulls until the end of the season.
He has, so far, made nine appearances for the Bulls, scoring five tries in his last four games from the bench.
Franklin Pele’s next move becomes clear after early Hull FC exit
Bradford Bulls had a spectacular 54-0 victory over Dewsbury Rams on Friday night, with Pele coming off the bench to score two tries.
He’s only contracted until the end of the year, but head coach Eamon O’Carroll said after the game, via Bulls TV: “We love Frankie, he’s a great man, we really like him.
“His fiancée has really settled here as well, so we’re having conversations with him. He’s someone I’d certainly like to keep at the club and I’m hopeful we can do.
“But I also support him as well, his next decision is a real big one for him and he needs to do what’s right for him and his family.
“He’s 23, he’s still a young man and I think he’s got a lot to offer in this game.
“That’s what I said to him, even if that’s not with us. Hopefully it will be, but I still think there’s a lot for Frankie to do in this game, and we’ll wish him all the best if he moves on, but I am quietly confident that we’ll be able to keep him.”
