Ahead of next Saturday’s test match between France and England at the Stade Gilbert Brutus, French coach Laurent Frayssinous has named a 20-man squad.
The ex-Catalans Head Coach includes 10 players from his former team including three players who played in this year’s Grand Final in the shape of Mickael Goudemand, Arthur Mourgue and Fouad Yaha.
Another current Super League star also features in the shape of livewire Morgan Escare. The ex-Dragon currently plies his trade at Salford after a brief spell at Wigan and his 2021 campaign is best remembered for the try he scored against Leeds at the AJ Bell.
He scored that from the wing a position he’s likely to play with Arthur Mourgue most likely taking the fullback spot.
The rest of the squad is made up by potential future Super League players in the shape of Toulouse’s stars including Lance Todd Trophy winner Tony Gigot and former Catalans hooker Eloi Pelissier. Exciting backs Mathieu Jussaume and Mark Kheirallah also feature. The latter will also be pushing for the number one shirt.
It’s clear England will have to be on their game to match this French outfit next week with so much Super League pedigree and exciting talent in the squad.
