Fourth Huddersfield Giant called into England Knights squad

Young Huddersfield Giants prop Oliver Wilson has been called into the England Knights squad for Sunday’s international game against Jamaica.

The 19-year-old comes into the squad to replace Hull FC’s Josh Bowden, who has pulled out to focus on his knee rehabilitation, after recently recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

His decision means Wilson becomes the fourth Huddersfield player included by the Knights, joining teammates Darnell McIntosh, Kruise Leeming and Matty English in the squad.

He also becomes the fourth player in the squad to graduate from the England Academy who triumphed over the Australian Schoolboys last Autumn, linking up with Leeds centre Harry Newman and Wigan duo Morgan Smithies and Harry Smith once again.

The England Knights face Jamaica at Emerald Headingley on Sunday, with a 3pm kick-off.
