Four Super League sides who could be set to bring in sensational mid-season signings

So far this season we have already seen some mid-season signings.

Last week Adam Milner left Castleford Tigers for Huddersfield Giants and before that Frankie Halton joined Leigh Leopards from Hull KR.

The biggest signing of the lot was of course Luke Gale’s move from Keighley Cougars to Wakefield Trinity despite the fact he is yet to play a game for his new club.

But who else could we see make mid-season signings in 2023?

Here’s four clubs who could bring in a fresh face for the rest of the season.

Wakefield Trinity
Trinity have already signed Luke Gale and Jack Croft. Isaac Shaw will likely be next and the club have been open about wanting to bring back David Fifita but can only do so if a quota player leaves the club. That will be five mid-season signings after Will Dagger and if Trinity still struggle they might not stop as they look to cling onto their Super League status.

Castleford Tigers
After the departures of Adam Milner and Daniel Smith this week, Andy Last confirmed the club are interested in bringing in some fresh faces now they have cap space. The question is: who?

Wigan Warriors
Wigan are actively pursuing a mid-season signing in the shape of Tyler Dupree. The Warriors have a bit of a forward crisis with Ethan Havard, Brad Singleton and Mike Cooper all out injured. Singleton is set to leave at the end of the year as well. If Wigan can’t get Dupree, they could continue to look at their options. With Sam Walters expected to join the club in 2024 from Leeds Rhinos, could Wigan try and get him early?

Hull KR
The other team interested in Tyler Dupree and the team who put in the initial offer. The Robins are chasing a second mid-season signing after bringing in Corey Hall.
