Four major signings that could happen soon in Super League

The Super League season is just eight days away but there is one club who still haven’t completed the transfer business they set out to complete before the new season starts.

Meanwhile, there is one club that has been outspoken about bringing in more recruits for the new season whilst another club hasn’t hinted at any more incomings for the new season but have an ace up their sleeves.

So, here’s four major signings that could happen soon.

Catalans Dragons bring in a centre
It is the Dragons who haven’t finished the business they no doubt wanted complete before Round One. One of those is a new centre after allowing Samisoni Langi to join Wakefield Trinity and Dean Whare to join the Elite One Championship. They signed Adam Keighran to fill one of these holes whilst Matthieu Laguerre has been given the number four shirt.

Catalans Dragons add a forward
Likewise, after allowing Dylan Napa to leave the club, the Dragons have been in the market for a new prop and have left a squad number open for this new signing as well as the new centre. They wanted Jared Waerea-Hargreaves but that seems unlikely with one year left on his contract. They may sit and wait for an opening to bring in a prop from down under. They have two quota spots available.

Leigh Leopards bring more depth
The Leopards only have 27 players which could be more than enough but it may also not be. Leigh boss Adrian Lam previously said that they were looking to make two or three more signings and since have brought in former Leeds Rhinos man Ava Seumanufagai. But that’s only one signing so more could come through the door but they would have to be English with the club out of quota spots.

Salford Red Devils’ ace up their sleeve
Salford have an ace up their sleeve. They are the only English club with a quota spot left. So, should a high profile Australian player become available at some point, it is them who are likely to pounce.
