Hull KR forward Dean Hadley will miss the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder in his side’s narrow 34-28 win at Leigh on Sunday.
Hadley was taken off early in the game after suffering the injury and had to be taken to hospital where he received the unfortunate prognosis.
29-year-old Hadley has made 32 appearances since moving from bitter rivals Hull FC ahead of the 2019 season.
“It is serious, he’s dislocated the shoulder,” KR head coach Tony Smith said.
“The doctors and physios could not get it back in so they had to take him to the hospital to put it back into place.
“I’m gutted for Deano, his season will be finished.”
“He’s a strong character,” Smith added.
“He’s had his fair share of injuries mainly because he puts so much effort into every game and puts his body on the line for his team-mates.”
It’s fair to say Hadley has been in the wars since making the move to Craven Park, suffering a compound fracture of his thumb in pre-season against Featherstone in 2020 as well as a facial wound when KR travelled to Wakefield earlier this year..
