Former Wigan winger could be jailed for 25 years

Ex-Wigan Warriors player Brett Dallas could face up to 25 years in prison in relation to drug and weapon charges.

The Courier Mail report that Dallas, who played for Wigan between 2000 and 2006, has been been in custody for six months and is facing charges for 13 offences.

They include producing marijuana, supplying ice, possessing ketamine as well as weapon charges, with the 46-year-old to apply for bail at Mackay Magistrates Court in Queensland next Friday.

Dad-of-three Dallas has struggled with post-career life and has been charged with numerous stealing offences since retiring from rugby league in 2006.

He enjoyed a decorated career that included five appearances for Australia and 10 for the Queensland Maroons.

The prolific winger also scored 153 tries in 275 club games, representing Canterbury Bulldogs and North Sydney Bears before his seven-year stint with Wigan.
