Former Wigan forward returns after drugs ban

Ex-Warrior Gabe Hamlin ran out for Cronulla in a pre-season friendly, five days after his two-year anti-doping ban ended.

The Australian prop starred in an ’emerging player trial’ as the Sharks narrowly beat St George Illawarra, 36-28.

That was Hamlin’s first game since February 2019, after the forward tested positive for cocaine whilst at Wigan.
