A former Warrington Wolves man has come out of retirement, and has secured a deal to return to Super League with Huddersfield Giants.
Connor Wrench originally hung up the boots at the age of 23, as he looked to forge a new career path for himself.
However, seven months on from that decision, the centre is now back in the sport, and will link up with Huddersfield until the end of 2028.
The news comes at a great time for Luke Robinson’s side, who are currently facing an injury crisis with their current list totalling double figures.
Wing duo Adam Swift and Sam Halsall are both sidelined, meaning that Wrench will help to replenish that gap on the edges.
The former Wolves man made 49 Super League appearances in his first spell, scoring 17 tries.
Reports elsewhere stated that Huddersfield were set to sign Mark Percival from St Helens, in what would have been a major coup for the club. However, Percival today signed a new contract with the Red Vee, meaning the Fartown outfit had to look elsewhere.
