Former Super League star served with police notice after attending anti-lockdown protests

Former Wakefield, Crusaders RL and Widnes forward Frank Winterstein and his wife have been given public infringement notices for being present at an anti-lockdown protest.

Winterstein, who also had spells at Manly and Penrith in the NRL, had his contract mutually terminated at Toulouse at the start of this year before departing back to his native Australia.

But, both he and his wife Taylor were part of the 3,500-strong illegal rally in Sydney and have since been tracked down by police, Daily Mail Australia has reported.

Two plain-clothed detectives served the notices at their home, which Winterstein’s wife filmed and later uploaded to social media.
