Former Super League star joins shock new club

Former Hull FC and Toronto Wolfpack star Hakim Miloudi has had a surprising career since leaving behind Super League.

Last year he starred for Barrow Raiders as they defied the odds and made the play-offs shocking many after promotion from League One.

He and now St Helens star Tee Ritson proved to be nearly unstoppable on the edges for the Raiders.

However, despite Super League interest in the centre, Miloudi headed over to France to join Albi Tigers.

Whilst there more Super League interest emerged around the centre especially when the season concluded in May.

But he chose to turn down the interest. He has though completed a big shock move but not to Super League.

He is staying in France and has joined French Elite One Champions Limoux for next year.

A major move for the centre, he will be delighted.

It comes after he said he would be staying with Albi however. He previously said in an interview with Serious About Rugby League:

“We never know what can happen in the future, but I’m contracted with Albi for two years and I’m really enjoy my time here. It is a nice city and a really good club with some amazing fans.”

He is very happy over in France where he was born:

“I’m really happy to be back in France with my wife and my son so he can grow up with is family and we can see them and have some good time.”

He has called for more Super League clubs to take a punt on French players:

“The level is better, faster and good to watch but we still far from the Super League level but we can match some Championship clubs.

“Yes definitely! We have a lot of French talent here but they are struggling for a manager or agents or being able to talk with some clubs over there to move.

“But I think both sides need to work with each other to send some players on loan or on trial to France or us to England. All French players want to play in Super League, it’s a big dream.”
