Former Super League man Greg Eden has taken to social media to call out former club Featherstone Rovers over alleged unpaid wages.

Eden has taken to X and tagged both the Championship club’s official account and the personal account of CEO Martin Vickers to allege that he has not been paid what was ‘agreed’.

The ex-Super League man was released by Rovers in January with the Featherstone announcement revealing: “The club can confirm that Greg Eden has agreed to be released from his contract. The club would like to wish Greg and his family well for the future and thank him for his time at the club.”

Eden then joined Hunslet who achieved promotion to the Championship in 2024 with the Parksiders describing it as a ‘major coup’.

Since joining the Leeds-based club, Eden has impressed despite the fact Hunslet have lost all four games. He scored in the Challenge Cup against Huddersfield and in the league against Bradford Bulls.

He’s now taken to social media to call out his former club and their CEO over the alleged unpaid wages, claiming he has attempted to make contact but has been unable to do so.

Eden played 15 games for the Flat Cappers in 2024 after joining midway through the campaign following his exit from Halifax Panthers.

Posting on X, Eden said: “Hi martin, can’t seem to get hold of you for love nor money, especially money. When will I be paid the terms we agreed? Just let me know mate, a txt or phone call would be nice”

Featherstone have been in the news this season already after head coach James Ford was dismissed following the club’s 14-12 loss to London Broncos, with former Hull FC and Hull KR man Paul Cooke stepping into the head coach role.

Rovers take on Sheffield Eagles this weekend whilst Eden’s Hunslet host Doncaster.

Serious About Rugby League have contacted Martin Vickers for comment.
