Scott Murrell gained quite the reputation for himself as a playmaker for Hull KR in and outside Super League as well with Halifax later on his career.

Now the 36-year-old has taken to Twitter to inject some humour aimed at old foe Featherstone Rovers.

Rovers put his old side Halifax to the sword last night in a 42-10 semi-final play-off clash that left the winner heading to Toulouse next weekend for a place in Super League.

However, Murrell was less than impressed with the facilities on hand at Featherstone’s Millennium Stadium – in particular, the lack of good lighting from the floodlights.

The current Keighley man said: “Better lighting in my back garden”.

That wouldn’t have fazed Featherstone, however, as they charge to the south of France in a buoyant mood.
