Former Super League forward Frank Winterstein launches controversial new business program

Former Wakefield Trinity, Crusaders RL and Widnes Vikings forward Frank Winterstein has launched a bizarre new program labelled ‘Families for Freedom’.

Winterstein – who made 104 Super League appearances between those three clubs – and his wife have already been firmly in the public eye following their staunch anti-vaccination belief.

The duo were given public infringement notices for being present at an anti-lockdown protest back in July, but it appears as though their voices have merely got stronger.

The 34-year-old, who also had spells at Manly and Penrith in the NRL, had his contract mutually terminated at Toulouse at the start of this year before departing back to his native Australia.

But, now he has been working together with his partner to create a new safe haven for families.

The ‘Freedom for Families’ is, according to the company website:

“A trailblazing monthly mentorship, that mobilizes families to move towards being self-governable, self-sustainable and self-responsible.

“An online hub where purpose-led community have high integrity conversations and make fully aligned choices.

“An online village to take part in for peace, relief, belonging and inspiration, where you’re in the driver’s seat of your family’s life and you get to choose where you’re headed regardless of outside influences coercing you to do what they say you should you to do.

“A home-coming for informed Mums and Dads (and young couples) around the world to speak, express and be who they truly are without the fear of judgement or the scarcity mindset that we don’t have enough time, resources and people to make a lasting change.”

It remains to be seen how popular the business venture will be, but it’s a completely different path to rugby league.
