Former Super League, NRL and State of Origin star Dylan Napa has signed with a new club ahead of the upcoming 2025 season.
Napa, who turned 32 late last year, did not make a single NRL appearance last year for Sydney Roosters and instead represented the club’s New South Wales Cup team – making a total of 16 appearances.
That followed on from 14 appearances in the NSW Cup in 2023 although that year he had played in two NRL matches. The Queenslander had signed for the Roosters after returning to the NRL following a one-year spell in Super League with Catalans Dragons.
During his sole season in Super League, Napa played 20 matches and was part of the Catalans team who failed to make it past the first round of the play-offs, losing to eventual runners-up Leeds Rhinos in a feisty affair at the Stade Gilbert Brutus.
Napa had arrived in Super League as a high-profile signing but failed to fully hit the mark, swiftly returning to the club with whom he won two premierships and a World Club Challenge. Despite that, he has now left the club and found a new team for the 2025 season.
