Former St Helens forward signs new Bradford deal

Bradford Bulls prop Ant Walker has signed a new one-year deal.

The 29-year-old forward returned to rugby league this season following four years out of the game, having been told to retire due to an underlying brain abnormality diagnosed in 2017.

Walker came through the St Helens ranks, making his debut in 2013. The prop made 17 appearances before making loan moves to Whitehaven and Rochdale.

A permanent move to Wakefield Trinity in 2014 came about, but Walker again spent time on loan at Whitehaven and Rochdale as well as Dewsbury before quitting the game in 2017.

Walker finally returned to the game in 2021 joining Bradford Bulls on trial before signing a permanent contract in the summer.

The 29-year-old has also made six appearances for Wales, linking up with current Bradford boss John Kear.
