Former RL star Anthony Watts allegedly threatened acid attack on ex-girlfriend and to shoot man

Former NRL star Anthony Watts has been in prison for the last three months over alleged threats against a gym owner and sending his former girlfriend text messages on acid attacks, but he is determined to fight the charges.

Watts pleaded not guilty to serious charges when his case was mentioned in a local court yesterday, according to the Daily Mail.

The charges include using an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, threatening injury to a person with intent to commit an indictable offence, being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of or attempt to possess steroids, and seven counts of drug possession.

Watts had, allegedly, previously told a gym owner to cancel his ex-girlfriend’s membership and stay away from her after parking his car outside the owner’s house last October.
