Former NRL and Hull FC star Frank Pritchard is out of hospital

Frank Pritchard is out of hospital and ‘on the mend’ according to the former Hull FC star himself.

The former Hull FC and NRL forward, who was placed in an induced coma at the beginning of January following complications with asthma after contracting COVID-19, is able to do his rehab work at home after a long road back to health.

Pritchard posted on Instagram: “Thank you everyone for your love and support over the last month. I’m on the mend and doing good, I’m able to do my rehab and recovery at home…God bless you all much love Frankie.”

‘Frank the Tank’ made 26 appearances for the Black and Whites of Hull in 2016, scoring five tries, but his lasting impact has been felt around the MKM Stadium for years to come.

Rugby League Cares charity, which transcends through every level of the sport from junior to professional, previously sent out a powerful message to Pritchard.

On behalf of the UK Pacific Island Rugby League Group, RL Cares said:

“The UK Pacific Island RL Group would like to send its thoughts and best wishes to Frank Pritchard, who is staging a strong recovery after emerging from a coma with Covid-19. We’re all thinking of you and your family at this difficult time, keep fighting big man🖤“.
