Former Leeds Rhinos hooker teases shock return

Former Leeds Rhinos hooker James Segeyaro has teased a potential return to rugby league.

The livewire hooker, who made ten appearances for the Leeds Rhinos back in 2016, was free to return to the NRL since June following 16 months out of rugby league.

Segeyaro, 30, was banned after testing positive for a prohibited substance from using a housemate’s blender.

The hooker was then able to convince the NRL’s Anti-Doping Tribunal that the banned substance entered his system inadvertently.

But, he appears determined to leave that life behind him as he previously spoke on his Youtube channel ‘Chicko’: “I want to get back and play footy, and hopefully make it back to the NRL.”

Segeyaro then took his viewers through a regular day in the life as well as showing his current routine in order to make it back to where he wants to be.

He is currently training with the Cronulla Sharks with whom he made 38 appearances for back in 2017 and 2018.

And, he looks in great shape, detailing a video on his social media that simply reads ‘The Comeback’, which shows Segeyaro doing a number of training drills and running tasks in a bid to impress anyone who is watching.
