Former Leeds Rhinos forward Ava Seumanufagai has signed for Canterbury Bulldogs for the rest of the 2021 season.

The prop had signed a train and trial contract with the Bulldogs, after leaving the Rhinos at the end of the 2020 season.

He has joined the 30-man sqaud after appearing in their pre-season trial match against Cronulla Sharks, and impressing in the NSW Cup for Mounties.

He will now be hoping to resume his NRL career, after playing for Wests Tigers and Cronulla Sharks over a six-year period before signing for Leeds.

At the Rhinos, he helped the club to the Challenge Cup in 2020. However, at the turn of the year, he requested a release from his contract, as current travel restrictions were stopping him from seeing his family.
