Ex-Hull prop signs with French club

Ex-Hull and St Helens prop Levy Nzoungou has signed for French Elite One Championship club Albi for next season.

The 21-year-old was recently released by the Black and Whites after featuring just once since signing from Salford at the start of 2019.

After spending two years with the St Helens academy as 17-year-old, the Frenchman made the move to Australia and spent half a season with the Melbourne Storm academy, before returning to Europe and finishing the season with Toulouse Olympique, making eight appearances.

He then joined Salford in 2018 but struggled to make an impact on the first team, instead having loan spells with Oldham, Whitehaven and Swinton.

From there he joined Hull but again was unable to break into the senior squad and spent most of the season on dual-registration with Doncaster.

He will now make a permanent move back to his native France and play for Albi, who are coached by former Leeds Rhinos and Halifax forward Eric Anselme.
